Gennifer founded The Purple Spade in the fall of 2016 as a marketing and consulting business.  The idea was to be able to offer a wide spectrum of services anything between social media marketing and web design.  As you can imagine, there are a lot of little things in between.  Being a mother, wife, and having a full-time job, it was hard to scale the business as large as she wanted it to be.  The day job was just as challenging as being a cloud system engineer for a very popular VOIP network phone company.  After a few years of juggling everything from T-ball practice to programming servers, it was very difficult to provide such a wide range of services for our clients.  Towards the end of 2018, it became more of a freelance web design agency.

Continuous self-education is important to Gennifer and she loves reading what the experts have to say.  As a hands-on creative, Gennifer has worked on creating or enhancing web designs that positively reflect a company’s brand. Her technical acumen combined with her ability to capture what works best for her clients, results is a tailored, affordable design that improves image and ultimately drives business.  Gennifer is a proven leader with over 20 years of experience in customer service and over 10 years in telecommunications and information technology solutions.  She possesses an incomparable work ethic and a strong drive for perfection. 

Outside of being the founding owner of The Purple Spade and a Cloud System Engineer, she loves spending time with her husband, daughter, son, 4 dogs, and 1 cat and enjoying their city of Reno, NV. Gennifer enjoys Giant’s baseball, yoga, and an occasional golf game.
