Website Updates & Maintenance
This policy is presented by The Purple Spade, a USA-based web design and hosting provider.
When you have entered into an agreement with The Purple Spade to maintain and update your website on your behalf, then be confident that we make any needed changes and implement updates and changes, as quickly as possible. Generally speaking, most updates and changes are made within 24 hours, but there may be times when changes and updates do not happen as quickly as you may think they should. On this page are some examples.
Updates requested outside normal working hours
Any emails sent to our web design team department requesting minor changes or updates to a particular page or pages, outside of normal working hours, may mean a delay in making the changes on your website.
For example, if you send the changes through to us after our offices have closed, then those changes may not be made until the next working day.
Outside Normal Working Hours
E-Mails sent to our web design team department outside of normal working hours will usually be dealt with the next working day. The Purple Spade aims to update your website quickly, but all emails are expedited depending on differing factors. For example:
What time the emails have came into our offices;
The arrival order of each and every request;
The urgency of the change(s) needed by the client.
Charging for website updates
Once your website has been built and the payment for the initial project has been made, we usually will have agreed with you beforehand on how website updates and maintenance charges are applied. Updates to a Fully Managed Website are carried out at a pre-agreed hourly rate, and normally billed in arrears every 4 to 6 weeks, depending on how many changes have been made.
90% of our customers find this method convenient and suits them very well. Our maintenance charges are so reasonable, that updates to a website only may raise nominal charges every now and then.
Switching your current Managed Website to a Part Managed Solution
If you may decide you would like to have more input on your website and would like to make updates and changes yourself, then depending on how the website has been constructed, we may be able to switch you over to our new “Client Managed Plan”.
